Bellamonte and surroundings

Bellamonte, a hamlet of Predazzo, was once considered "the mountain of hay" in the Val di Fiemme. Today it is a sought-after tourist destination both for its characteristic huts at the foot of the Lagorai chain, and for the amazing sunsets over the Pale di San Martino. In Bellamonte a visit to the incredible collection of farm tools and ancient objects kept in an ancient tabià, the Museum of Grandfather Gustavo, is a must. The Bellamonte-Alpe Lusia ski lift caresses the boundaries of the Paneveggio-Pale di San Martino Natural Park, famous for its spruce forests, called "resonance fir", because it is used to make the harmonic cases of musical instruments. In the nearby hamlet of Paneveggio it is possible to admire the Park Visitor Center, the deer of the reserve, the botanical path, a transparent bridge and a bridge suspended on ropes. Among the different itineraries in the Park, the closest to Predazzo are the one for the Forte Dossaccio and the one for Colbricon, famous for the ponds perfectly set among rhododendron crowns.
